Janssen Park Place B&B is a turn of the century Victorian style home.  It was built in 1907 by a Kansas City, Pittsburg and Southern Railroad conductor.

This handsome two story home was built for the slower pace of the early 20th century as evidenced by the wraparound front porch graced by eight ionic  columns.  The porch faces Mena's Janssen Park that hosts numerous events and festivals through out the year.  The picture to the left shows the park at night after the Christmas parade and fireworks display.

The Janssen Park Place grand entry welcomes you to a time when visitors were greeted with style and grace. The stairs beckon you to our guest bedrooms and lounge that has a flat screen HD DIRECTV, Wi-Fi , small refrigerator and microwave.

In addition to the rooms in the main house there is a cottage in back that was built for a young soldier returning from World War II. He and his bride lived in the cottage until their family outgrew the space.  The cottage has been completely refurbished and has a living room, bedroom, bath, and full kitchen

.  The home is lavishly furnished with Victorian antiques.  Ask for a tour of all the guest rooms.
